Patriarchal Order Province of the United States Uniforms of the OrderMembers of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem have three uniforms in their wardrobe. There is a uniform for business and non-organizational usage, a semi-formal uniform and a formal dress uniform for religious and representational promotion. The business dress of Knights of the Order (of any rank) consists of a navy blue blazer emblazoned with the coat of arms of the Order and the lapel pin. A conservative shirt and complementary tie, or ascot, finishes the ensemble, along with a pair of traditionally cut sport slacks of any appropriate color (Plate 1). A Knight and Knight Commander will wear as semi-formal dress: a black tuxedo (or, white dinner jacket) with black bowtie, or alternatively, white tie, white vest and black tails (formal); the large jewel suspended from the neck by a long, gold chain (Plate 2). A Grand Officer's semi-formal ensemble will consist of a black tuxedo, white vest and white bowtie with the star upon the left breast pocket. The large decoration will be worn suspended from a gold chain immediately under the bowtie (Plate 3). White tie, white vest and black tails, along with the star and large decoration, are worn on formal occasions (Plate 4). Additional decorations of military, religious or civil significance, acknowledged by proper authority, may be placed over the left pocket (black tuxedo, Plate 5) or on the left lapel (tails) at the member's option (Plate6). All ladies of the Order shall wear an appropriate, conservatively-cut dress or gown, depending upon the occasion, along with decorations of rank (Plate 7). At formal religious functions (recognized Holy Days and Investitures, or other occasions called by the Governor General) all Knights, Ladies and Companions will wear the the cape of the Order. The capes of Knights and Companions are an off-white color with the coat of arms displayed over the left breast. No other devices are worn upon the cape (Plate 8). However, depending upon the rank or position, embroidered edges or collar decorations shall be worn if awarded by the proper authority, and if current (Plate 9). Ladies', and Lady Companions' capes are of a light Marian blue
